One person is dead after an accident on a rural property just northeast of London, Ont., on Monday afternoon.

OPP says the death was the result of a “mishap” on a rural woodlot

One person is dead after an accident on a rural property just northeast of London, Ont., on Monday afternoon.

Emergency crews were called to a property on Oliver Drive in the municipality of Thames Centre just north of Thorndale at 1:40 p.m.

The individual who was driving the tractor was pronounced dead at the scene. The OPP said they’ve determined the person’s death was an accident — the result of a “mishap” in a woodlot.

The identity of the deceased person is not being released, provincial police said.

The OPP says the investigation is complete and no charges are being laid.
