The Indian market is likely to consolidate on Wednesday tracking mixed global cues. The S&P BSE Sensex and Nifty50 closed flat on Tuesday with a negative bias.

India VIX was up by 2.61% from 10.90 to 11.18 levels in the previous session. Volatility was slightly on the rise but is still trading at its lower band.

On the options front, the maximum Call OI is placed at 19800 and then toward 20000 strikes while the maximum Put OI is placed at 19600 and then towards 19500 strikes.

Call writing is seen at 19700 and then towards 19800 strikes while Put writing is seen at 19600 and then towards 19500 strikes.

“Options data suggests a shift in a slightly lower trading range in between 19500 to 19900 zones while an immediate trading range in between 19550 to 19750 zones,” Chandan Taparia, Analyst-Derivatives at Motilal Oswal Financial Services Limited, said.

“Nifty formed a Doji sort of candle on Tuesday and an Inside Bar on a daily scale and negated its lower lows formation of the last five sessions,” he said.

“Now the index has to hold a crucial support of 19600 zones, for a bounce towards 19750 then fresh move towards 19850 zones whereas supports are placed at 19550 then 19500 zones,” recommended Taparia. We have collated a list of stocks from various experts for traders who have a short-term trading horizon:
