NEW DELHI: Kane Williamson’s calm demeanour on the field makes him one of the the most loved cricketers around and the New Zealand captain exhibited his modest self by carrying drinks for his players during the World Cup clash against India in Dharamsala on Sunday.
Williamson did not participate in the match because he had been sidelined for the entire month of October after suffering a fractured finger during New Zealand’s win over Bangladesh on October 13.
His comeback for the remaining three league games in November will depend on how fast he recovers.
After the end of the 14th over, Williamson was seen carrying drinks on the field. He had a long discussion with Daryl Mitchell and Rachin Ravindra in the middle during the drinks break.
As he made his way back, Williamson received a warm greeting from Kuldeep Yadav, and the two cricket players exchanged a heartfelt embrace.
