Virat’s latest century in a winning cause came in India’s match against Bangladesh in the ongoing ICC World Cup.It was his 48th ODI century and 78th across formats in internationalcricket.
Of those 78 international centuries by Kohli, 54 have resulted in victories for India, which is only one short of the record 55 of Ponting’s international centuries (71) bringing a win for Australia.
Sachin Tendulkar is third in that list, with 53 of his 100 international hundreds resulting in an Indian win.

As far as the ongoing World Cup is concerned, Kohli is positioned second on the list of leading run-getters with 354 runs in five matches after Match 23 between South Africa and Bangladesh. The list is headed by South Africa’s Quinton de Kock who has scored 407 runs in five matches.
India captain Rohit Sharma is third currently with 311 runs. Under Rohit’s captaincy, India have won their all five matches so far in this World Cup to sit on top of the points table and will next face England on October 29 in Lucknow.
