The Mission Olympic Cell (MOC), which met earlier this week, has approved his proposal worth Rs 27.67 lakh. He will be accompanied by his coach and biomechanics expert, Dr Klaus Bartonietz, and physiotherapist Ishaan Marwaha. In another development, the MOC agreed to extend the tenure of India’s doubles badminton coach Mathias Boe for a period of around 10 months. Boe, who is training the country’s World No. 1 doubles pair of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty, will remain associated with Indian badminton till August 15, 2024, with his extended stint of 9.5 months already beginning from November 1.
The Danish great will be drawing a salary of Rs 7.7 lakh per month for a total pay package of 73.15 lakh.
