Capri Global, Varun Beverages, Grindwell Norton, ICICI Bank and Adani Enterprises are among the consistent wealth creators in the 2018-2023 period, according to the annual Motilal Oswal Wealth Creation Study.
Noteworthy wealth creators in this period include Reliance Industries, TCS, ICICI Bank, Infosys and Bharti Airtel. Lloyds Metals emerged as the fastest wealth creator with the stock returning 79% on a compounded basis in this period.
Over the 2018-23 period, the top 100 wealth creators in India Inc generated a wealth of Rs 70.5 lakh crore, though this figure is lower than the previous 5-year period from 2017 to 2022.
The study also showed that stocks within the price-to earnings (PE) ratio range of 25-30 times demonstrated signifi cantly higher returns than those with a PE less than 10 in 2018-23. Similarly, the highest returns were observed in stocks with the price-to-book (P/B) range of 5-6 times.
