PM Modi to flag off 2 new Amrit Bharat, 6 Vande Bharat Express trains today; check routes & other details – Times of India

Vande Bharat, Amrit Bharat Express flag off: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be flagging off a total of eight new trains on December 30, 2023. These include two new Amrit Bharat Express trains and six new Vande Bharat Express train services. The new trains will be flagged off by PM Narendra Modi during a function in Ayodhya today. While some trains will be flagged off from Ayodhya, others will be flagged off remotely by video link simultaneously.
Amrit Bharat Express is an all new train from Indian Railways that has been rolled out keeping in mind the comforts of the aam aadmi.The non-AC train will have second class unreserved coaches and sleeper coaches. With a 6,000 HP WAP5 locomotive at each end, the new Amrit Bharat Express train with 130 kmph speed potential will run on the push pull technology.
Vande Bharat Express, already running on several routes across the country, is an all air conditioned chair car train. Unlike Amrit Bharat Express, Vande Bharat is a self-propelled train set with a speed potential of 160 kmph.

Amrit Bharat Express trains routes:

  1. Darbhanga to Anand Vihar Terminal in Delhi via Ayodhya Amrit Bharat Express
  2. Malda Town to Bengaluru (Sir M. Visvesvaraya Terminal) Amrit Bharat Express

Vande Bharat Express new routes:

  1. Sri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra – New Delhi Vande Bharat Express
  2. Amritsar – Delhi Junction Vande Bharat Express
  3. Coimbatore – Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express
  4. Jalna – Mumbai (CSMT) Vande Bharat Express
  5. Ayodhya – Anand Vihar Terminal Delhi Vande Bharat Express
  6. Mangaluru – Madgaon Goa Vande Bharat Express

The new trains, whether Vande Bharat or Amrit Bharat Express, will provide more comfortable and faster train travel options to passengers compared to other trains on the existing routes.
