Leading the ongoing five-Test home series against England with an unassailable scoreline of 3-1, India can further solidify their position at the top of WTC table if they manage to win the fifth and final Test in Dharamsala, beginning March 7.
In eight Tests India have played in the ongoing WTC cycle, Rohit Sharma & Co have registered five wins, two losses and one draw. Australia have played the maximum Tests (11) so far in the current cycle.
According to the WTC points system, 12 points are awarded for a win, 6 for a tie and 4 for a draw. However, the teams are ranked accourding to percentage of points.
The two teams that finish on the top will play the final in Lord’s next year.
