NEW DELHI: Lucknow Super Giants pace sensation Mayank Yadav has disclosed a remarkable surge in his Instagram followers following the Indian Premier League match against Punjab Kings on Saturday evening.

In a video shared by LSG on their X (formerly Twitter) handle, Mayank, 21, excitedly announced a significant surge in his Instagram followers.

“Before today’s game, I had 4,000 followers. Right now, I have 15.8k followers,” Mayank enthusiastically revealed.

The number of followers has risen sharply since then and is now almost 60K.
LSG secured their maiden victory of the IPL 2024 season, propelled by an outstanding debut performance from young Mayank in a thrilling clash at their home ground in Lucknow.
The fast-bowling sensation made headlines by delivering the fastest ball of the ongoing Indian Premier League 2024 season in the match. Yadav’s impressive display left the Kings’ batting lineup in disarray, earning him accolades as the season’s fastest bowler thus far.
Reflecting on his remarkable debut, Yadav said, “My strategy was to remain composed, focus on hitting the stumps, and utilize my pace to the fullest.” With nerves of steel, he dismantled the opposition’s opening partnership, snaring the prized wicket of Jonny Bairstow and concluding with impressive figures of 3-27.
His lightning-fast delivery, the fastest one clocking an astonishing 155.8 km/h, left the Punjab Kings struggling, despite a resilient effort from their skipper Shikhar Dhawan, who scored a gritty 70 off 50 balls.
