HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) — Two men were ejected after a single-car crash in northwest Harris County on Sunday morning, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
It happened around 6:30 a.m. Sunday in the 6400 block of N. Eldridge Parkway.
According to Deputy Jason Hildebrandt, Precinct 5 responded to the scene. Two Life Flight helicopters were called to transport both victims, who were in critical condition.
Officials said the crash happened in front of a fire station, prompting those inside to call it in.
One of the victims was rushed into emergency surgery.
HCSO says the car went off the road and struck two utility poles, splitting one. The impact has caused outages in the area, which CenterPoint Energy is working to restore.
Officials said speed may have been a factor as to how the crash happened.
HCSO said both ways on N. Eldridge will be closed as the scene begins to clear.
