One man is dead and another has been hospitalized after a double shooting in Long Beach Thursday evening.
The shooting was reported at about 6:45 p.m. in the 600 block of 61st Street, the Long Beach Police Department said in a statement.
At the scene, one man was found suffering from gunshot wounds to his lower body, and he was taken to a local hospital for treatment. He is currently in stable condition with non-life-threatening wounds, police said.
A second man who had been shot in his upper body was declared dead at the scene.
No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.
