Police: $200K worth of jewelry stolen from Daly City home

(KRON) — A burglary last week led to a significant loss for one Daly City household, according to a crime report posted by the Daly City Police Department on Wednesday. The burglary happened on April 4 between 9:30 a.m. and 10:20 a.m. at a residence on Woodland Avenue.
An unknown suspect(s) shattered the rear glass sliding door and stole more than $200,000 worth of jewelry, $700 in cash and $500 worth of tools, police said. It is unknown if anyone was home at the time of the burglary.
No injuries were reported.
DCPD did not mention the stolen items being returned to the rightful owner. The department said there were no other residential burglaries reported that week from April 1 to April 7.
Woodlane Avenue is near Fernando Rivera Middle School and Thomas Edison Elementary School. The investigation into the April 4 burglary is ongoing.
