Ipswich host local rivals, Norwich at Portman Road in a huge East-Anglian derby in the 2023-24 Sky Bet Championship.
Victory would see Ipswich move top until Monday evening, whilst Norwich can go as high as seventh depending upon their winning goal margin.

Norwich have no fresh injury concerns to report after their 3-1 win over Sheffield Wednesday in midweek.

When is Kick-Off?

Stat Attack
- Ipswich are winless in their last 10 regular-season league meetings against Norwich (D4, L6).
- Norwich are unbeaten in their last five regular-season visits to Ipswich (W3, D2).
- Three of Ipswich’s last four home games against Norwich finished 1-1 except for a 1-0 defeat in October 2017.
- Ipswich have scored first in three of their last five home matches (W5).
- Shane Duffy has been booked in Norwich’s last two away matches.
Prediction
Right at the start of the season, Ipswich certainly would of snapped anyone’s hand off to be the team coming into this local derby sat second, albeit with a chance to move top of the second-tier yet their steamtrain just continues to impressively roll on.
Kieran McKenna’s Tractor Boys though are a team who can be vulnerable defensively as Watford showed with an early attack in midweek, but their attack is resilient and relentless with a strong press which is an issue that not many teams have got a grip upon.
Norwich meanwhile executed a clinical win over an improving Sheffield Wednesday team which is a nice morale boost coming into this game, but they will have to be more clinical here because Ipswich won’t waste chances unlike the Owls given their pace and attacking threats.
David Wagner’s Canaries also have avoided defeat in their last ten regular-season meetings against Ipswich but with the Tractor Boys on the up, I do expect this to be a close contest with a draw looking a fair outcome.
Prediction: Ipswich 1-1 Norwich
