Norwich City entertain Ipswich Town at Carrow Road in a huge East-Anglian derby.

Norwich will stay sixth in the table irrespective of the result, whilst Ipswich can secure their position at the summit for another matchweek with a win.

When is Kick-Off?

Norwich host Ipswich at Carrow Road on Saturday 6 April at 12:30pm BST, live on Sky Sports in the UK.

Stat Attack

  • Norwich are unbeaten in their last 11 regular-season meetings against Ipswich (W6, D5).
  • Ipswich are winless in their last eight league visits to Norwich (D4, L4).
  • Both teams have scored in five of their last seven regular season meetings, except for 1-0 and 3-0 wins for Norwich in October 2017 and February 2019 respectively.
  • Josh Sargent has scored nine goals in Norwich’s last eight league matches at home (W7, D1).
  • Ipswich have won four of their last five matches when scored the opening goal.(W4, L1).

Prediction

Currently holding a four-point gap over seventh-placed Coventry, Norwich can’t afford to repeat their sloppy defending which allowed Leicester to come from behind after the Canaries had executed a clinical opening goal, otherwise they will be under pressure for the last play-off spot.

Ipswich meanwhile were certainly made to work for their win over Southampton because after scoring first, they simply switched off for much of the first half defensively yet their unity and spirit saw them stage a brilliant comeback in a clinical but edgy second half.

On that note, a goalless draw does feel unlikely because both teams clearly have a lot of goals within them so I do expect a proper cracker, where a draw might well be a fair outcome unless Ipswich can get at Norwich’s defence like Leicester did.

Prediction: Norwich 1-1 Ipswich
