Roundup of the latest Championship action as the top three teams all stuttered, whilst the relegation battle threw more surprises.

Leicester remained top of the table despite suffering a 1-0 loss at Millwall as Ryan Longman struck a 59th minute winner for the Lions.

Ipswich remained second on goal difference after they were held to a frustrating goalless draw at home to Watford.

Leeds stay third after they failed to score at home for the first time since September following a goalless draw against Sunderland at Elland Road.

Fourth-placed Southampton dented Coventry’s play-off hopes with a 2-1 home win through first-half goals from Kyle Walker-Peters and Che Adams, despite Jake Bidwell’s 68th minute consolatory goal for the visitor.

First-half goals from Brandon Thomas-Asante and John Swift saw fifth-placed West Brom defeat already relegated Rotherham 2-0 at The Hawthorns.

Norwich rounded out the top six despite blowing a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 at Sheffield Wednesday, having led through Josh Sargent and Borja Sainz’s first-half goals before Michael Ihiekwe and Michael Smith rescued the Owls a point.

Down in the relegation zone, Birmingham City slipped to second-bottom behind Sheffield Wednesday after they fell to a 1-0 defeat at home to Cardiff through Josh Bowler’s 65th minute winner.

Huddersfield sit above the bottom three on goal difference after Josh Koroma’s first-half lead couldn’t prevent an eventual 4-1 loss at Preston, after Will Keane converted a penalty and Milutin struck a late hat-trick for the Lilywhites.

Plymouth sit two points above the drop after Albert Adomah’s late own-goal gifted them a 1-1 draw at home to QPR, having initially fell behind to Sam Field’s close-range strike.

Elsewhere, Finn Azaz rescued Middlesbrough a 2-2 draw at Hull after Emmanuel Latte Lath initially put them in front, only for Jaden Philogene and Jean Michael Seri to put the Tigers ahead at half-time from behind.

Braces from Tommy Conway and Nakhi Wells plus Anis Mehmeti’s effort saw Bristol City thrash Blackburn 5-0 at Ashton Gate.

Finally, Liam Cullen, Matt Grimes and Josh Key found the net as Swansea eased any relegation fears with a 3-0 home win over Stoke.
