2023 Corvette Z06 customer deliveries delayed – The Supercar Blog

Your wait for the 2023 Corvette Z06 has just got longer. Production has been affected due to parts shortages, leading to a backlog of deliveries. Production of the MY2024 Z06 has also been pushed back by two weeks.
According to reports, hundreds of Corvette Z06s are sitting outside the GM’s Bowling Green plant awaiting parts. The cars are stuck at production code 3800, which means the car is built and awaiting shipment. The demand for carbon fibre parts, especially the Z07 carbon aero package, which includes dive planes, engine appearance package and interior carbon packages, are said to have outpaced the supply, causing the delays. The ongoing UAW strike has further complicated the production issues.
According to one customer, Chevrolet has opted to deliver the vehicle without specific carbon fibre parts while offering a partial credit on the Window Sticker.
General Motors had stopped taking orders for the 2023 Corvette Z06 in September 2022. The carmaker plans to reopen its order books in November, but production delays would certainly be a concern.
