2023 Tata Harrier and Safari facelifts to be launched on October 17

After shaking up the mid-size and full-size SUV segment in India, Tata Motors has announced the official launch dates for its new SUV duo. Yes, finally, the company has announced that the all-new Tata Harrier and Safari facelift models will be officially launched on 17th of October. The company recently commenced the booking for these new updated SUVs with a booking amount of Rs 25,000.
Expected pricing of 2023 Tata Harrier facelift
The new 2023 Harrier facelift, this time around, will be launched in 5 broad variants: Fearless, Adventure, Pure, and Smart. Additionally, the company will also be offering the model with the popular Dark Edition variant as well. The company, this time around, has ditched the old variant nomenclature.

In terms of pricing, most likely, the new 2023 Harrier facelift will be launched with a premium. Currently, the outgoing Tata Harrier starts at Rs 15.20 lakh and goes all the way up to Rs 24.27 lakh for the Dark Edition. At the moment, the exact premium for the new model has not been leaked or reported.
Expected pricing of 2023 Tata Safari facelift
Just like the new Harrier facelift, the Safari also ditches the old nomenclature. It will also come in five broad variants – Accomplished, Adventure, Pure, and Smart variants along with Dark Edition. Currently, the outgoing Safari starts at Rs 15.85 lakh and goes all the way up to Rs 25.21 lakh in India. Just like the Harrier, it will also be launched with a premium over the outgoing model to justify all the feature and design upgrades.
What’s new?
For those unaware, Tata Motors has already unveiled both the Harrier and the Safari facelifts in India. Both new SUVs get massive exterior redesign and have received a ton of new and segment-first features. The new Harrier and Safari facelift both come equipped with features like ADAS and a ton of other safety features.
On the outside, the Harrier gets a brand new front end with connected LED DRLs and all-LED headlights and fog lights. The front grille has also been changed, and it now looks a lot more modern and futuristic. The same has been changed on the new Safari facelift, and it gets a body-colored top front grille along with connected LED DRLs and all-LED headlights and fog light setup. This time around, the Harrier and Safari get their own distinctive designs for the front fascias.
The changes on the sides of both SUVs remain minimal, with both getting new alloy wheel designs and their specific badging on the front doors. Moving on to the rear, the Harrier facelift looks a little sportier than before and gets a new design for the rear LED taillights, which are also connected. The same is the case with the Safari facelift.
Interior updates
On the inside as well, both SUVs have gone through significant updates and get a lot more modern amenities. Both SUVs get massive 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment systems and 10.25-inch digital instrument gauge clusters. Both also get new four-spoke steering wheels with illuminated Tata logos. Additionally, they also get a new dual-zone automatic climate control system, which is touch-based. The overall cabin feels a lot more premium than before.
Powertrains
As for the powerplant of the SUV duo, it has remained unchanged. Both the new Harrier facelift and Safari facelift get the same Kryotec 2.0-liter turbocharged diesel engine. This engine is capable of producing 170 bhp of power and 350 Nm of torque. This engine on the outgoing SUVs comes available with a 6-speed manual transmission as well as a 6-speed automatic transmission.
