The German automotive giant Volkswagen launched the Virtus GT mid-size sedan back in March of 2022. Just a few weeks ago, the company also launched a new special matte black-painted Virtus variant called the Virtus GT Edge Plus Matte edition in India. Now, following its recent launch, a video walkaround of this new special edition model has been shared online.

Exterior Changes
Front
For this, he starts off at the front of the sedan and mentions that it gets an all-new matte black paint job. This satin finish paint job looks very handsome with contrasting high-gloss black elements on the front. The Virtus GT Edge Matte edition gets gloss black grilles on top and bottom, along with a decent amount of chrome. The headlights get a projector LED setup, but the turn indicators and fog lamps are halogen.
Engine options
Following the front end, the presenter opens the bonnet of the sedan and talks about the engine options. He states that the Virtus comes offered with two petrol engine options. The first is a 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol engine, and the other is a 1.5-liter four-cylinder petrol engine. This top-of-the-line sedan in the GT Edge Matte edition comes with the latter.
He mentions that the 1.5-litre engine produces a maximum of 150 bhp of power. It also makes an impressive 250 Nm of torque. The other 1.0-litre petrol TSI engine makes around 115 bhp of power and 178 Nm of torque.
Side and rear changes
After talking about the engines, the presenter shows the side profile of the vehicle. He mentions that the Virtus GT Edge Matte edition looks exactly like the standard model but gets high-gloss black 16-inch alloy wheels. He mentions that the same alloy wheels are finished in a diamond-cut design on the 1.0-litre model’s top-spec GT Edge Matte edition. Both models get red brake calipers on the front and black drum brakes at the rear.
Apart from this, he shows the chrome garnishes on the windows. He adds that the B-pillar gets a gloss black treatment, which has been covered for protection from scratches. Lastly, he shows the rear end of the sedan and mentions that not much has been changed. The GT Edge Matte edition gets a gloss black lip spoiler on the decklid and a chrome strip on the lower portion of the rear bumper. The presenter adds that this contrast between the matte and chrome looks very beautiful.
Interior updates
Moving on to the interior of the Virtus GT Edge Matte edition, it gets new electric seats in the front. It also gets new leatherette combination seat upholstery with wild cherry red stitching. The GT Edge variants also get aluminum pedals and laser red ambient lighting. The Virtus also offers illuminated footwells. Apart from this, it comes equipped with a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system and an 8-inch digital cockpit instrument gauge cluster. The rest of the interior is the same as the standard model.
