[ad_1]
Maruti Suzuki Brezza, a popular choice in India’s sub-4m SUV segment, comes in four trims: Lxi, Vxi, Zxi, and Zxi Plus. Lxi is the base variant, and Zxi Plus is the top variant. Buyers may find themselves confused when choosing a variant that suits their needs. Today, we will cover the Lxi CNG variant in depth with the help of a YouTube video.
The video uploaded by “Lets Drive Varu” shows the base variant of Brezza finished in the shade of white. Brezza Lxi CNG is available at an ex-showroom price of Rs. 9.29 lakhs.
Starting with the car’s keys, it features two buttons for the lock and unlock functions. Both the keys are the same.
The host then proceeds to show the rear look of the car, which features LED taillights with halogen turn indicators. The name ‘Brezza’ is written in chrome finish in the middle, along with the Suzuki logo on top.
Four parking sensors, a shark fin antenna, a roof spoiler, and a high-mounted stop lamp are also provided. Boot space is a major concern in CNG cars, as the majority of the space is taken by the CNG cylinder. The boot only has a little space left. The CNG tank comes with a capacity of 55 litres, which can accommodate around 7 to 8 kg of gas.
Unexpectedly, the side profile features body-coloured door handles and ORVMs with integrated turn signals. Black body cladding can be seen all around the SUV. The car comes with 16-inch steel rims finished in black. The front features an all-halogen setup with single projector-based headlights. Fog lamps are missing in this variant.
Coming to the interiors, as expected in the base variant, the car does not come with any soft-touch materials and the interior is finished in all-black. It offers all four power windows along with electrically adjustable ORVMs. The absence of features can be felt in this variant.
All the basic features, such as a height-adjustable driver seat, steering-mounted controls, auto AC, vanity mirror, armrest, infotainment system, and speakers, are missing. The instrument cluster is analog-digital, featuring two dials and a black and white display in the middle. The display shows both the fuel and CNG levels.
Powering the Maruti Suzuki Brezza is a 1.5-litre K15C naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 103 horsepower and 137 Nm of torque. However, in CNG mode, this engine delivers a reduced output of 88 hp and 122 Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual, which is available across all variants, and a 6-speed Torque Converter Automatic, available in selected variants only.
Regarding the mileage figures that matter the most in a CNG car, Brezza CNG gives up to 25.51 km/kg (kilometres per kilogram). On the other hand, the petrol manual has a claimed mileage of 17.38 KMPL, and the Torque Converter has a claimed mileage of 19.8 Kmpl.
The Maruti Brezza prioritizes safety with six airbags, a 360-degree camera, ABS with EBD, and seatbelt reminders. However, ESP and Hill Hold Assist are missing in some CNG variants. In the Indian market, Brezza competes with Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue and XUV 300.
