[ad_1]

A new middle child arrives in the Porsche Cayenne Hybrid range, the 2024 Porsche Cayenne S E-Hybrid. But unlike your sibling, the 2024 Porsche Cayenne S E-Hybrid should not be ignored.

Priced from $99,100 for the SUV and $104,000 for the Coupe, it splits the difference between the $91,700/$93,350 Cayenne E-Hybrid and the $146,900/$151,400 high-performance Turbo E-Hybrid, excluding a $1,650 destination charge and any options.

Rated at 512 horsepower and 553 pound-feet of torque, it gets its power from a revised 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 engine paired with a 130-kW electric motor that produces 4.4-second 0-to-60 mph times and 13-second quarter-mile runs. It’s a tenth of a second quicker than its non-hybrid, twin-turbocharged V8 counterpart according to Porsche.

While the Cayenne S E-Hybrid improves on the 463 hp and 479 lb-ft of torque produced by the base hybrid, it also improves on the base Cayenne Hybrid’s performance, which clocks in at 0-60 mph in 4.6 seconds, according to the automaker. But it’s not as fleet as the Turbo E-Hybrid, the true track star here, with an output of 729 hp. and 700 lb.-ft., and a 0-60 mph time of 3.5 seconds.

Other performance upgrades on the S E-Hybrid include a larger 25.9 kWh battery with a 11-kW charging capacity, which enables it to fully charge the battery pack in around two and a half hours using a Level 2 charger on a 240-volt outlet.

As you’d expect, it’s properly equipped with standard 20-inch Cayenne S wheels, quad brushed stainless-steel tailpipes and LED headlights with automatic high beams. SUVS are finished with silver trim details, while Coupes are finished in black detailing.

An adaptive air suspension, Lane Change Assist, Sport Chrono package, stainless steel pedals, keyless entry and start, and a steering-wheel-mounted drive mode switch are now standard.

The 2024 Porsche Cayenne S E-Hybrid’s tech package gets an upgrade as well, with Apple CarPlay getting increased functionality, while a new passenger screen with video functionality is optional.

Porsche states the 2024 Porsche Cayenne S E-Hybrid can be ordered now with deliveries to start in the Spring of 2024.
