3 killed in Larimer County crash, US 287 closed

DENVER (KDVR) — Three people were killed and two were injured in a crash on US Highway 287 Thursday.

The crash happened between Livermore and Virginia Dale, about 10 miles south of the Wyoming state line.

Colorado State Patrol Master Trooper Gary Cutler told FOX31 the call came in at 2:46 p.m. and confirmed that three people died, and two sustained minor injuries.

It was unknown exactly how many vehicles were involved.

The Livermore Fire Protection District said US 287 is closed in both directions at County Road 37 Red Mountain Road due to the crash.

The scene was still active as of 3:20 p.m.
