Gibbon Slacklines has announced the launch of the SlackFit, a series of playful group workout programmes that focus on core strength and balance.
Founded by Robert Kaeding, Gibbon Slacklines has been instrumental in popularising the concept of slacklining – similar to tightrope walking – around the world. The company has now created the group exercise programme, which will allow more people to access this exercise technique which engages the stabilising muscles, improves balance, coordination, flexibility, agility and mental focus.
The workout uses the Giboard, a product developed to help people learn to slackline by making it easier to practice intensely without injury.
The Giboard can be strung with one or two short slacklines and can be used by people of all ages.
“We’re aim to transform fitness by integrating balance, movement and play,” says Kaeding. “SlackFit, using the Giboard, embodies our commitment to reshaping how people approach exercise, making it engaging, effective and accessible.”
The programmes – Energy, Core and Strength – integrate Giboard exercises with cardio intervals, targeted core engagement and muscle strengthening, delivering a holistic workout experience.
There are plans to introduce specialised programmes for children, as well as including step-based routines to build lower body strength and endurance.
Gibbon has partnered with Topodium Group in the UK as official distribution and marketing partner and to develop the routines.
