During Wednesday’s episode of ESPN’s First Take, Russo compiled a list of the top five most difficult sports to play — and ranked curling ahead of football.

Russo listed football as the fifth-hardest sport to play, which didn’t get a reaction from fellow sports personalities Stephen A. Smith or Molly Qerim, however, jaws hit the floor after that, the U.S. Sun reported.

“This is an impossible sport to play,” Russo said. “It requires finesse and the ability to skate, and all of those things. Don’t laugh, curling.”

Smith literally fell to the floor in disbelief, while Qerim shouted out that she didn’t even know what curling was.

“Mad Dog, I don’t even know what that is,” Qerim said.

First Take fans were likewise shocked by Russo’s decision to include curling in his top five hardest sports to play.

“Mad Dog’s Top 5 Hardest Sports List on @FirstTake is actually valid. How do you do a morning sports talk show and not know about curling? Major props to @MadDogUnleashed for this list,” a third fan said.

Russo defended himself and the sport of curling, and even claimed to have curled in Vancouver, which played a role in his ranking.

“Listen, you lost me at curling,” Smith said. “The list is straight trash because of curling.”
