Back in August, she said on her Tea Talks with the Duchess & Sarah podcast that she had written to the King to praise him and his passion for caring about the environment.

She said: “People are beginning to realise what an incredible force he’s been to fight for nature.”

Last Christmas, Charles invited the Duchess to spend the festive period with the Royal Family for the first time in several years.

The monarch, who was born on November 14, 1948, is expected to mark today’s occasion privately.

Earlier, Buckingham Palace released more throwback pictures of the monarch to mark his special day.

In a 40-second video shared on X (formerly known as Twitter), King Charles and Queen Camilla’s official account said: “Wishing His Majesty The King a happy 75th birthday.”

The video features snaps of baby Charles up to the present day.

In the pictures, the King can be seen with the late Queen, Queen Camilla, the late Princess Diana and their two sons, Prince William and Prince Harry.

Included at the end was his latest official portrait, which was released last week, showing him in a pinstripe suit and tie.

Yesterday, the King kickstarted his birthday celebrations by visiting a special tea party at Highgrove Gardens.
