NEW DELHI: In a historic performance on Wednesday, pace sensation Mohammed Shami etched his name in the annals of 50-over World Cup history, delivering the best-ever bowling figures by an Indian bowler in the tournament.

In the ongoing WC 2023, he has taken an impressive 23 wickets in six matches, leading the wicket charts with an average of 9.13. His outstanding tally includes three five-fors and a four-wicket haul in the tournament.
