Four men were found dead by Adams County sheriff’s deputies in an apparent murder-suicide inside a home in the 8400 block of Franklin Drive on Tuesday afternoon.
Deputies responded to the home on reports of a gunshot victim at 4:25 p.m. and found four dead men inside, according to Sgt. Adam Sherman.
The house was locked, and deputies forced entry and initially found one man dead from a gunshot wound. After checking the rest of the house, deputies found three additional men who were dead.
The initial investigation shows three of the four men may have been family members, Sherman said.
The person who called 911 was a family member of one of the victims, Sherman said. It’s not clear when the shooting occurred.
The area is south of Thornton near Coronado Hills Elementary School.
The incident appears to be isolated and there is no danger to the public, according to the sheriff’s office.
This is a developing story.
