2023 Kia Seltos Facelift: New GTX+S variant in-depth walkaround [Video]

The South Korean automotive giant, Kia India, recently launched the new Seltos facelift in India. The model has since become so popular that Kia is currently sitting on open orders for more than 50,000 units, and the bookings are not slowing down. The bookings have increased so much that the company had to launch two new variants in the lineup, which do not feature the 360-degree camera and Bose audio system. These variants are the GTX+S and X-Line (S). Recently, a detailed walkaround video of the GTX+S was shared online.
Kia Seltos GTX+S variant
The video walkaround of the all-new Kia Seltos GTX+S has been shared on YouTube by Saurabh Singh Car on their channel. For those who may not know, Kia India recently launched the GTX+S variant along with the X-Line S variant. Both of these models are Rs 60,000 cheaper than the top-spec GTX+ and X-Line variants. The only major difference between these new models and the top-spec models is that they do not have the 360-degree cameras and Bose premium audio system. The rest of the features are exactly the same.
Kia Seltos GTX+S walkaround
Coming to the walkaround video, the presenter starts off the video with the introduction of the GTX+S variant. It has to be noted that the presenter in the video has mentioned that this variant does not come equipped with ADAS. However, this is not true. The GTX+S and X-Line S variants both come with ADAS and all other features as the top-of-the-line variants. The presenter, after the introduction, shows the front end of the new Seltos.
Exterior design
The brand-new Seltos gets a redesigned front fascia, featuring new and repositioned LED DRLs and LED headlights. It also boasts a much larger front grille with a brand-new front bumper and new silver skid plates. The presenter then shows the side profile of the GTX+S variant, which gets the same 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. After this, he moves to the rear end of the car and shows the newly designed tailgate with new connected LED taillights and the brand-new rear bumper. This new rear bumper now gets a much larger dark silver skid plate.
Interior design
Next up, the presenter takes the driver inside the new Seltos GTX+S variant. He shows that this model comes equipped with dual panoramic screens. Both of these are 10.25-inch screens, where the one on the left is the touchscreen infotainment system, and the one on the right is the digital instrument gauge cluster. The new Seltos also comes equipped with dual-zone climate control, a dual-pane panoramic sunroof, premium leatherette seats, and tons of other features.
Powertrain options
Moving on to the drivetrain side of things, the presenter mentions that this particular car is equipped with the 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine that makes around 158 bhp and 253 Nm of torque. This engine comes mated to a 7-speed DCT transmission. Apart from this, the GTX+S variant also comes with an option of a 1.5-litre diesel engine that produces a maximum power of 115 bhp and 250 Nm of torque. This engine comes mated to a 6-speed torque converter automatic.
