Omid Scobie’s warning about Endgame book translations ahead of its release

Royal biographer, Omid Scobie, has warned people to wait until his new book comes out saying he feels reports of leaked translations are inaccurate.
Scobie said he would rather people waited and read Endgame when it comes out saying he had become “frustrated” by reports about the book’s contents.
So far reports have suggested the book says King Charles is simply “holding the reins” for Prince William and also suggests Meghan Markle “never wants to set foot in England” again among other revelations.
The new book aims to tell the story of the Royal Family after the death of Queen Elizabeth II and what its future holds under King Charles.
Taking to Twitter, Scobie wrote: “Whether you like my work or loathe it, all I ask is that if you are reading coverage about what’s supposedly inside Endgame, please also read the book itself.
He went on to tell BBC News: “It has been hugely frustrating watching news sites run stories based on contextless and poorly translated snippets from a French serialisation of Endgame.”
Several UK newspapers have been reporting on what were said to be extracts from the book published in French magazine Paris Match this week.
Scobie said reports left readers “to believe that this is how the material – much of which is almost unrecognisable from the original English manuscript – appears in the book”.
