Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) says a driving instructor was caught speeding in Burlington — right after the student in their passenger seat failed their test.

“Couldn’t make this up if we tried,” HRPS posted to X, formerly known as Twitter.

Police say the 44-year-old instructor from Brampton was spotted driving 85 km/h in a 50 km/h zone on Lakeshore Road at 10:30 a.m., on Tuesday.

Five kilometres per hour faster and it would’ve been considered stunt driving.

Police say she received a $265 ticket and four demerit points.
