We all want a taste of some forbidden fruit and this QOTD might help us all be a little more thankful for what we have

The globe we call home is also home to a swath of extraordinary cars from all corners. What’s frustrating though is that not all of those cars are available in all of those corners. Which new car not available where you live is the one that you want most?
Look no further than to our lead image for my personal pick. The Toyota GR Yaris is evidently everything that I already love about the GR Corolla but lighter and even more intense. Rumor has it that it’s about to get even more powerful than it was in past years. If that’s not a recipe for fun and driver engagement I don’t know what is.
The GR Corolla is far from by itself though. America also does without the super cool Suzuki Jimny which just so happens to be an incredible value for the dollar. I, for one, think that Suzuki could make a big re-entry into the U.S. market if they could find a way to sell it here. It’s already set up for the Japanese market and doing well there. Surely, there’s a way to meet U.S. regulations.

At the same time, this QOTD might be a great way for some of us to reflect on and appreciate the good things that we do have wherever we may live. For example, some countries don’t get access to the Ford Maverick pickup. While I don’t (and likely never will) own a Maverick, it’s a stylish, capable, and versatile truck that sells like hotcakes here in the USA.
Another example is the Mazda3 Turbo and the CX-50. Neither of those is available in some markets and each is fantastic. The 3 Turbo is a great blend of quick and practical wrapped up in a premium package. The CX-50 is almost comically capable off-road, feels good to drive on-road, and looks great too.
We’ll finish up with perhaps the dumbest entry here though and that’s the Volkswagen California. This van is named after a place where it’s not sold and while it doesn’t interest me personally, I’m certain that a lot of folks in the USA would like one. After all, the nation has patiently waited on VW to sell a new Bus here for multiple decades at this point.
