Windsor police are investigating a double shooting near the downtown core that took place on early Saturday morning.

Windsor police are investigating a double shooting near the downtown core that took place early Saturday morning.

Police received a report around 2 a.m. saying that two people had been shot at a residence in the 200 block of Giles Blvd. W.

A 32-year-old man and a 35-year-old woman were suffering from gunshot wounds, according to police. They were both taken to hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.

Windsor police’s major crimes unit believe the shooting was targeted and are searching for the suspects and the firearm that was used.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Windsor police’s major crimes unit or Crime Stoppers to remain anonymous.
