When is Kick-Off?

Tottenham host West Ham in a 8:15pm GMT kick-off at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Thursday 7 December, live on Amazon Prime in the UK.

Stat Attack

  • Tottenham are unbeaten in three of their last five league meetings against West Ham (W2, D1, L2).
  • West Ham have claimed five points from their last six trips to Tottenham (W1, D2, L3).
  • Son Heumg-min has scored three goals in Spurs’ last two home games against West Ham (W2).
  • Spurs’ Pedro Porro has hit the woodwork twice in 13 league appearances.
  • Outside of the current top-four clubs coming into this matchweek, West Ham’s Jarrod Bowen has scored the most headed goals this season (3).

Prediction

Winless in their last four matches, Tottenham know that a win will put them right back in the title mix heading into a busy period, especially after a spirited fightback to draw at Man City amidst some sloppy defending which Romero’s return should help lessen.

West Ham meanwhile showed how resilient their defence were against Palace except for a sloppy mistake from Konstantinos Mavropanos, which is a positive coming into a trick game like this but their end product will need to be more clinical because it was just lacking last time out.

I though can’t see Spurs losing this even if they concede given how leaky their defence is because their attack is very strong with goals in every game this season, which is something that West Ham must be wary of but the Hammers are a strong goalscoring team themselves.

A draw therefore feels like a fair bet because both teams could well cancel each other out if they play like they did last weekend on quick-paced attacks, whilst their defences in the top-flight aren’t exactly solid neither in recent weeks.

Prediction: Tottenham Hotspur 1-1 West Ham
