Tearing Down The Blown Up K24 Swapped StanceWorks Ferrari After A Bad Day Of Racing That Threw The Rods Out Of It. – BangShift.com

I’ve only blown up a couple of engines in my day, but when you do there is always the disappointment of tearing stuff up, but then once you get over that there is the desire to tear it apart and see what went wrong. Some times it’s your fault. Some times it is a part that failed. And other times it is just because your junk was worn out and needed some love that you didn’t give it. So what was it that failed in the boosted K24 that powered the StanceWorks Ferrari? Cause this bastard launch the rods out of it on the back stretch at Buttonwillow not long ago, and in the video below we’re going to see if we can learn why and see if there is any regret in doing this swap.
The K24 Swapped Ferrari has been one of the most talked about projects in recent years and people either love it or hate it. Regardless of your opinion on the car, everyone can agree that the build is pretty trick and done well. I’m not a K24 aficionado, but I don’t much care whether the Ferrari maintains its original engine either, so this thing doesn’t bother me at all from the engine and drivetrain perspective. I do love this car from a style and fabrication standpoint and the fact that it is much more than a show car is what I love about it. This sucker is getting raced and worked and tuned to be a bad ass time attack machine.
