Mitchell Robinson likely out for season in Knicks injury disaster

The injury news around Mitchell Robinson took the worst possible turn for the Knicks.

The Knicks believe their starting center will miss the rest of the season after having ankle surgery last week and have applied to the NBA for a Disabled Player Exception worth $7.8 million, according to The Athletic.

The Knicks never disclosed Robinson’s injury, but The Post’s Stefan Bondy reported he heard it was a fracture and required the insertion of screws.
