Two former world champions, Deontay Wilder and Joseph Parker will meet at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on Saturday night in a bout that could impact their future.

Wilder is eyeing a blockbuster showdown with Anthony Joshua and victory against Parker will set the scene for a long-awaited clash between the duo in Saudi Arabia early next year.

The Bronze Bomber was last in action 14 months ago.On that occasion, he recorded a first round knockout win against Robert Helenius.

The American will be desperate to re-assert himself as one of the heavyweight division’s biggest stars.

“He’s never felt the power I bring and possess,” Wilder was quoted by Sky Sports ahead of the fight.

“I’m just calm and collected. I’ve been here many times before.

I’m not going to disappoint you. I come to bring the pain, I come to bring the excitement.”

For Parker, this is another opportunity to continue his winning streak.

Since losing to Joe Joyce last year, the New Zealander has put together three back-to-back wins.

If he can get the victory against Wilder, it will be the biggest of his career and he will likely find himself challenging for a world title at some stage in 2024.

Parker is a training partner of Wilder’s former rival, Tyson Fury and he will undoubtedly be seeking tips from his close friend on how to spring big upset in the bout.

“We’re here, we’re ready and I can’t wait. I’m going to be aggressive,” the former WBO belt holder promised.
