The name Toyota Fortuner needs no introduction in India. It belongs to the most popular full-size premium ladder-on-frame chassis SUV in the country. The Fortuner is the first choice of politicians, businessmen, and a number of Bollywood celebrities as well. Recently, a video showing the base variant of this SUV has been shared online. This detailed walkaround video shows the base diesel variant, and the presenter talks about all the features offered with this variant of the mighty Toyota Fortuner.
2024 Toyota Fortuner Base Variant

He starts the video with the introduction of the Toyota Fortuner and mentions that he will be showing all the things updated on this SUV for the year 2024. He starts off with the pricing of the Fortuner, which starts at Rs 33.43 lakh and goes all the way up to Rs 51.44 lakh. He adds that this particular variant is the diesel manual variant, which is priced at Rs 35.93 lakh. The presenter also mentions that there is also a base petrol manual Fortuner which costs Rs 33.43 lakh. However, it is not that popular.
Exterior Design: Front
Following the introduction and pricing, the presenter shows the front end of the Fortuner base variant. The Fortuner on the front comes equipped with a brand new high gloss black front grille with a massive Toyota emblem. It also gets new LED projector headlights with LED DRLs integrated inside. It also gets LED fog lights as well as another LED DRL on the lower front bumper which also acts as a turn indicator.
Engine Specifications
Next up, the presenter shows the diesel powerplant of this SUV. He states that this particular variant comes equipped with a 2.8-litre turbocharged diesel engine. This motor produces a maximum power of 204 PS and 420 Nm of torque with the manual transmission. He adds that the automatic variant with this engine offers 500 Nm of torque. Apart from this diesel engine, the Fortuner is also offered with a 2.7-litre petrol engine that makes 166 PS and 245 Nm of torque. It also comes with manual and automatic transmission options.
