UT group presenting STEM event for elementary, middle school students

AUSTIN (KXAN) — Elementary and middle school students will be on the University of Texas at Austin campus Saturday getting hands-on lessons in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM).
Women in STEM (WiSTEM) is presenting the annual STEM Girl Day at UT event from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
According to the school, the event gives students, families and educators a chance to explore STEM subjects with the help of volunteers including scientists, engineers, astronomers, mathematicians and others.
The school said events would include:
- STEM shows
- Cybersecurity games
- Catapult creating
- Discovering supercomputers
- Solar telescope viewing
- Tiny House 3D designs
- Bracelet making with binary codes
- Mathmagic tricks
