According to L’Équipe, Paris Saint-Germain’s largest supporters group ‘Collective Ultras Paris‘ have been urged by Kylian Mbappé’s (25) representatives not to whistle or boo the France captain until an official decision and announcement on his future has been made.
Whilst no official announcement has been made by the player or the club regarding the 25-year-old’s future, it is no secret that he intends to leave PSG at the end of his contract to fulfil his childhood dream of playing for Real Madrid. Mbappé has agreed terms with the La Liga club and should be presented as a new Los Blancos player before EURO 2024.
The former Monaco academy graduate holds strong links to the Collective Ultras Paris and has been able to encourage the fans to not react until any official announcement has been made. On Sunday afternoon, Mbappé will return to the Parc des Princes to play in front of PSG supporters for the first time since his future was announced by the media. Influential members of this supporters group had been suspecting that Mbappé’s future was likely to be away from PSG.
Kylian Mbappé’s agent, his mum, is planning to soften the blow of his departure from France with national television interviews, according to L’Équipe. The PSG forward is of course not just a big figure in Paris but also in France after being awarded the captaincy of Les Bleus and being recognised as one of the best player’s in the world.
A tribute in waiting
PSG fans are already planning a tribute to the 25-year-old when he plays his last game for the club at the end of the season, according to L’Équipe. However, Mbappé still has the potential of another 21 games to play for Le Parisien and the opportunity of achieving European glory with his hometown club.
