DENVER (KDVR) — The Adam’s County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that happened Saturday night at 52Eighty Sports Bar on Broadway in northwest Denver.

Four people were hurt in the shooting.

“I don’t know who these guys are, and I don’t want to know them,” Corina Pino, who was at the bar at the time of the shooting said.

Pino said her sister-in-law, who is in her late 30s, was struck after a group of what Pino described as teenagers started shooting into the bar.

“These kids, these guys, whoever they were coming into the bar, shot into the bar, and as they shot into the bar, that’s when the first bullet that got shot into the bar hit my sister in law in the chest,” Pino said. “The first one hit my sister-in-law in the chest, there was blood everywhere.”

She said right now her sister-in-law is in critical condition. She said her stepson, 17, was shot in the leg near his arteries but he is expected to be ok.

Pino said their family had been celebrating her mom’s 60th birthday party at the bar and they were packing up to leave around 8:30 when the gunshots started.

She said no one in her family knew any of the suspects and felt they were caught in the crossfire of other drama.

“Not one of our family members at the party had a gun, we didn’t do this,” Pino said. “It was some random people that came to get drunk and they were teenagers.”

While the gunshots rang out their whole family ducked under tables inside the bar. She said there were puddles of blood both inside and outside the bar.

“My stomach and everything is in a complete knot over this, I can’t get over it,” Pino said.

Pino said they didn’t know the other victims but following the shooting, she walked outside and saw a teenager on the ground in blood.

“There was another kid on the ground shot and saying ‘am I dead am I dead?’ all I know is he got hurt and may god be with him as well,” Pino said.

She said this shooting completely ruined a night that was supposed to be so special and has traumatized their family.

“This is not fair for us to have my mom’s 60th party, my mom, who has cancer, and have a shooting and have some of our family get hurt over this,” Pino said.

The family has started a GoFundMe for her sister-in-law Heather who was shot in the chest.
