St. Patrick’s Day may have fallen on a Sunday this year, but that didn’t stop Londoners from throwing on the green and hitting pubs in the city’s downtown to celebrate with a pint of Guinness.
Richmond Row was quieter Sunday afternoon compared to previous St. Patrick’s Day celebrations, with many students having ventured out the day before.
The colder weather didn’t help either. Temperatures hovered around the freezing mark, feeling a few degrees colder thanks to some moderate wind gusts and occasional flurries.
For some, that was all the more reason to head inside, where the music is loud, and the taps are flowing.
Here’s a look at some of the celebrations in downtown London. Once again, London emergency crews and hospital officials are asking that those celebrating do so responsibly.
