Club ‘considering’ paying money to sign Leeds United player in summer – Deal makes a lot of sense – Sport Witness – Footymercato.com

As the weeks go by, we keep seeing suggestions that AS Roma are really thinking about signing Diego Llorente from Leeds United permanently.

There are few arguments against the move, since the Spaniard has been in good form since he arrived on loan last January, and has even kept his spot in the squad after José Mourinho’s exit.

That’s why Gazzetta dello Sport are reporting that Roma are ‘considering’ paying Leeds the €5m required to keep him for good.

He and Sardar Azmoun are one of the few loans the Serie A side are looking at optimistically thanks to their performances, which is why they are thinking about paying the money for both.

By contrast, Rasmus Kristensen will ‘definitely leave’ Italy’s capital in the next few months to return to Elland Road.

The Dane, while he has played, has not convinced anywhere near as much as the centre-back, which is why Leeds need to brace themselves and have a plan ready for him when he does make his comeback to the club.

Either they play him or find him another club, perhaps all depending on whether Daniel Farke’s side make it back to the Premier League.
