- The Brit died hours after suffering ‘a series of complications’ during the boob op
- A third surgeon was allegedly involved and was set to be arrested before he fled
- The beauty clinic owner was also an anesthetist and helped the op take place
The manager of an aesthetics clinic in Majorca has been arrested for manslaughter following the death of a British woman during a £6,000 boob job in September last year.
Officers from the National Police’s Homicide Group made arrest of the managing director today, outside the private clinic in Palma.
The doctor who carried out the deadly procedure on the woman who suffered with a heart defect was also taken in by cops, and is accused of homicide due to serious recklessness, respected Majorcan newspaper Ultima Hora reported.
After investigating the case, officials concluded the report with the arrest of the manager, who was also an anesthetist, over his role in helping the operation take place.
A third surgeon was also allegedly involved and was set to be arrested before he reportedly fled to Switzerland as soon as unnamed British woman had died.

But Europol soon informed the National Police that the surgeon had died as a result of a terminal illness before he could be captured.
The Homicide Group have since released the manager of the clinic from the Palma Penitentiary Centre where he is serving another sentence for medical negligence and fraud, in order to file new charges, it has been reported.
The double arrest took place after the British woman died just hours after suffering ‘a series of complications’ during the breast operation in mid-September.
Investigators found that she had a heart defect, resulting in 25 per cent of the organ not functioning correctly, according to reports.
Officials believe that the surgeons had knowledge of her condition, and did not perform the necessary preoperative procedures – ultimately leading to her sudden death.
The Brit had travelled to the Spanish island from the UK before she died in Son Espases Hospital, Palma, following the surgical complications.
The surgeon who operated on her has still not been named, but reports described him as a long-established professional ‘who has spent decades working in Palma and other European countries’ at the time of the woman’s death.
His nationality was not revealed either, but locals said he lived outside of Spain.
The Briton’s family were informed that she had died in hospital after travelling to the island to receive the boob job.
It comes after a British businesswoman, 45, with breast implants potentially linked to deaths in the US revealed she cannot get compensation to replace them ‘unless she has signs of cancer’.
Annabelle Baugh, from Birmingham, had textured Biocell implants inserted when she was 24-years-old, opting for ones manufactured by pharmaceutical firm Allergan due to the company’s impressive safety record.
Then five years ago, she learned of the supposed link between the implants and a rare form of blood cancer known as anaplastic large cell lymphoma (ALCL).
Breast implant-associated ALCL has already led to the deaths of more than 60 women in the US, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) says.
But to get the removed by the NHS, Annabelle would have to have symptoms of cancer – or fork out £9,000 on private surgery.
And an OnlyFans model from Halifax was left with ‘dying nipples’ after going under the knife for a breast uplift in Turkey in January.
Chloe Rose, 22, paid £2,800 for her boob job, but when she woke from the four-hour surgery she found the operation had gone ‘severely wrong’.
