Kia is ready to shake things up in the compact sedan segment with the arrival of the 2025 Kia K4, which is th replacement for the Forte. We were given a preview of the new K4 earlier this month, but now Kia has released all the details at the New York Auto Show.
The K4 is bigger and more stylish than the Forte with its “Opposites United” design language. It has a sleek fastback roofline and at 185.4-inches long and 72.8-inches wide, the K4 is the biggest in its segment. That larger footprint provides more room inside with 38 inches of rear legroom and 37.3 inches of headroom.
Inside the K4’s interior looks far more modern and upscale than its predecessor with its available “multi-segment cockpit display” that is nearly 30-inches wide. The available Digital Key 2.0 lets users operate the K4 using an Apple or Samsung phone.
The K4 will be available with two engine options. The standard engine is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder with 147 horsepower and 132 pound-feet of torque, that’s mated to a CVT transmission. The more exciting choice is the turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder with 190 horsepower and 195 lb-ft., which is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission.
The 2025 Kia K4 is slated to arrive in the second half of 2024.
