Roundup of a dramatic Good Friday as the lead of the Championship changed hands.

Conor Chaplin struck a ninth minute winner as Ipswich scraped past Blackburn at Ewood Park to go top.

Comeback goals from Crysencio Summerville and Mateo Joseph saw Leeds drop to second with a 2-2 draw at Watford, after the Hornets twice led through goals from Vakoun Bayo and Emmanuel Dennis.

Leicester slipped to third with a narrow defeat at Bristol City as Anis Mehmeti struck a 73rd minute winner for the Robins.

Fourth-placed Southampton saw their automatic promotion hopes dented in a 1-1 draw at home to Middlesbrough, as Adam Armstrong’s early strike was cancelled out by Emmanuel Latte Lath’s header.

John Swift’s 67th minute penalty earned fifth-placed West Brom a 1-1 draw at Millwall, after Duncan Watmore had put the Lions into a half-time lead.

Norwich rounded out the top six with a comeback 2-1 win at home to Plymouth, courtesy of Ashley Phillips’ own-goal winner after Josh Sargent cancelled out Morgan Whittaker’s header.

Down in the relegation zone, Rotherham remain rock bottom following a 3-0 defeat at Preston in which Duane Holmes opened the scoring, before Emil Riis Jakobsen struck twice to wrap up the Lilywhites’ home win before half-time.

Sheffield Wednesday remain second bottom  following a 1-1 draw at home to Swansea, after Bailey Cadamarteri’s first-half goal was cancelled out by Jamal Lowe’s equaliser.

Huddersfield stayed third-bottom with a 3-1 loss to seventh-placed Coventry in which Rhys Healey scored a late consolatory goal for the Terriers, despite Ellis Simms’ brace and Haji Wright’s injury-time strike for the Sky Blues.

Elsewhere, Hull’s play-off hopes took a huge dent with a shock 2-0 loss to Stoke as Josh Laurent and Ki-Jana Hoever scored for the relegation-battling Potters.

Jimmy Dunne struck a 92nd minute winner as QPR came from behind to beat Birmingham City 2-1 at home, after Steve Cook cancelled out Juninho Bacuna’s opening goal.

Finally, Adil Aouchiche and Jobe Bellingham both found the net in the first half as Sunderland won 2-0 at Cardiff.
