UAlbany hosts AI competition

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — More than 100 students came together for a one day competition that centered around using artificial intelligence to manage emergency responses. The competition took place at the University at Albany’s ETEC research complex.

Teams from schools like RPI and UAlbany pitched their concepts to Homeland Security. Students were provided with an emergency scenario and had to develop AI-based solutions to address emergency response.

The top three finishing teams were all from UAlbany, and the winner took home $1,000 thanks to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
