Tata Motors India launched the updated version of their popular 5-seater SUV on October 17, 2023. This is the first face-lift version of the Harrier since its launch in 2019. This time around, the SUV comes with seven colour options: Pebble Gray, Lunar White, Seaweed Green, Sunlit Yellow, Ash Gray, Coral Red and Oberon Black. Out of all, one colour option that stands out is the Sunlit Yellow. Today, with the help of a YouTube video, we will cover the details of the new Harrier, which is finished in Sunlit Yellow.
The video was uploaded by Man And Motor, which shows us a detailed walkaround of the SUV finished in a sunlit yellow shade. This colour option is rather unique, and it will get a lot of eyes on the road.
Starting with the front fascia of the car, the face-lifted Harrier looks much more aggressive and bold than the previous version. The car features a more futuristic look along with sharp cuts and lines. It comes with a connect DRL at the top and projectors based headlamps below. Color of the car is a subjective thing but it definitely looks stunning and unique.
Coming to the side profile, the SUV is equipped with 17-inch all black alloy wheels. The SUV looks massive from the side. Talking about the rear, Tata has followed the industry trend of connected taillight with the Harrier. The rear profile of the car is designed in such a way that it looks bulky and bold.
There is no scarcity of features in Tata Harrier. The SUV features an all-black interior with body coloured touches. It offers various features such as a 12.2-inch Alexa enabled infotainment screen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 10.25-inch full digital instrument cluster, a panoramic sunroof, touch HVAC controls, a powered tailgate, 6-way Powered Ventilated Driver Seat with Memory & Welcome function, illuminated steering wheel logo, electric steering wheel with steering mounted controls and much more.
Tata is known for prioritizing safety in their cars, and the Harrier is no different. The SUV offers seven airbags, ADAS, ABS with EBD, ESC, traction control, and hill hold control. Additional safety features include 360 degree camera, front & rear parking sensors with camera and blind-spot monitoring.
The Harrier comes equipped with a Fiat-sourced 2.0-litre Kryotec diesel engine that delivers a healthy 170 hp and 350 Nm of torque. Tata does not offer the Harrier with a petrol engine option. The diesel engine comes paired with a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission.
The updated 2024 Tata Harrier competes with 5-seater players in the Indian compact SUV segment, such as the Hyundai Creta, Toyota Hyryder, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, MG Hector and Jeep Compass. Click here for our first drive review.
