HUDSON, N.Y. (NEWS10) — The Meat Hook, a butcher shop with two locations in Brooklyn, has opened a third location in Hudson. The shop officially opened on Saturday, April 13.
Owner Brent Young founded The Meat Hook in 2009. The butcher shop’s first location was in the Williamsburg neighborhood of Brooklyn. The second location opened in Brooklyn’s Carroll Gardens.
Young said the business gets its meats from upstate family farms, including in Hudson and Troy. “It made sense to open a new location up here,” Young told NEWS10.
The shop offers different cuts of meat, as well as fish, cheese, produce, prepared foods, and pantry items. The grocery items are mainly from local artisans and farms, but they also stock brands such as Heinz and Martin’s Famous Potato Bread.
“We’re excited to be here,” said Young. “We’re excited to expand into a new community.”
The Hudson shop is open Thursday through Monday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The Meat Hook is located at 322 Warren Street.
