One downtown shooting suspect is in custody as London Police continue search for a second | CBC News

At approximately 1:30 p.m., police were called to the 600-block of Richmond Street for reports of a shooting in a parking lot behind a business.

One suspect has been arrested and police are searching for another after an early Thursday morning shooting in downtown London.

Police were called to the 600-block of Richmond Street for reports of shots fired in a parking lot behind a business at about 1:30 a.m. Thursday. 

When officers arrived, a man was found with apparent gunshot wounds. He was taken to hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries, police said.

Investigators said an altercation between two groups happened prior to the man being shot. 

The suspect who is still at large is described as male, Black, wearing dark clothing. He was last seen in the area of Richmond and Mill streets.
