Tornado warning issued for Alpine, Descanso as Hilary moves

SAN DIEGO — A tornado warning has been issued by the National Weather Service in two mountain neighborhoods as Tropical Storm Hilary continues its northward trek.

The tornado warning was issued at 3:39 p.m. on Sunday for Alpine and Descanso. The warning lasts until 4 p.m.

This comes as the storm continues to move northward. The center of the storm is anticipated to cross over San Diego County before 6 p.m.
