‘Whole team is devastated’ tribute to bus driver who died five days after crash

He died in hospital on Saturday, police said.
The transit driver, a 42-year-old man, was also taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital with serious injuries following the collision.
His condition is described as stable.
Fiona Doherty, managing director of Stagecoach West Scotland, said: “It is with great sadness that we confirm the passing of our colleague Gordon Stirling.
“Gordon was the driver of the service 4 bus which was involved in a road traffic incident with another vehicle on Monday 14 August on the A77.
“The whole Stagecoach team is devastated about this and we all send our heartfelt condolences to his family and friends.”
A Police Scotland spokesperson said enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of the crash.
